7 States ban Sharia entirely. North Carolina even went so far as to ban all foreign systems of law. With the new Sunni uprising in the Middle East, it’s not a stretch to think that there could more than one set of Islamic Law present in the US. Which begs the question, will these law systems still be present even if they aren’t legal? If so, how will we know or keep track?
The ban based on religious discrimination is particularly important. Religious freedom has always been key in the US, and it’s good to see that it still is.
