Speaking of watches. Can anyone come up with a technology to rival Citizen’s solar powered watch that needs no battery replacements for a lifetime and put one in my cell phone?
LG has confirmed earlier rumors that it will debut a stylish new Android Wear watch at next week’s IFA event in Berlin. The company announced Wednesday that it would offer a sneak peek of the G Watch R at IFA with pricing details to follow local availability in the fourth quarter.
The G Watch R has a round display similar to the Moto 360 but with one big difference: The entire display is used to show apps and information. [company]Motorola[/company]’s Android Wear watch has a small section on the bottom of the display that doesn’t light up. LG says the 1.3-inch screen is a “full-circle” plastic OLED display with 320 x 320 resolution. That’s a step up from the 280 x 280 square screen found on LG’s $229 G Watch that debuted in June.
